Have you ever noticed that triumph and triumph start the same?
The sound “try” starts them both.
In your life, it may seem the more you try to triumph, the more you face trials.
Yet, the more you try to succeed in the midst of trials, the more you experience triumph.
My friends, many of you are facing times of great trials. Sickness, loss, financial difficulty, relationship issues, trial after trial with no relief! Today I encourage you, to not give up in this battle!
There’s no triumph without a trial!
Whenever I think of God's view on trials, I am reminded of a very familiar verse.
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:2-4
Here's the thing...there was a time, I truly was baffled by this! How could God want ME to be happy and joyful when my life was falling apart? This is where we have to recognize who God is! We are dealing with a God who knows all and sees all! Which means..
He already can see you on the other side of this trial.
Imagine, you HAD ALREADY secured your child a fully paid scholarship just for finishing high school. As in, it was guaranteed, all he/she has to do is do the work in school. At the times when your child was discouraged about their grades or their scholarship, you would know the scholarship already on the way and resource were provided. All they have to do stay the course and not drop out. All they would have to do is trust you. They need to be secure enough in you to know it will work out for their good.
The same is with our Father! He has ALREADY provided the solution for your trial! All we need to do is stay the course. Often times, we face trials and say “Why God?"
When God is saying, “Will you use this to draw closer to me?”
When you know God has already worked out the triumph, you can’t help but keep trying!
When you draw close, I assure you, everything the enemy meant for harm will be an opportunity for great victory! Your triumph will be greater than your trial in Jesus name! So my friends, you truly can count it ALL joy in the end. Will there be a process? Will there be times of hardship? YES!
BUT, God is still good through it all. May no longer allow your current trial to cheat you out of your future triumph. Make a choice to keep going.
