A Lesson from Hillary Clinton, Accepting God's "No" from the Front Row

Many Americans witnessed the inauguration of President Donald Trump today. But anyone with human emotions noticed a certain someone a few rows back from the action, Hillary Clinton.

Regardless of your political views, we can ALL relate to the gut-wrenching emotion she had to be feeling.

It would be normal for her to think, "This should be me".

And to some yes. But for this day, and this hour we have to assume God's answer to Hillary Clinton was "no" or "not yet".

How do you reconcile your emotions in those moments that you believed were for you? And while watching someone else take what you longed for!

The promotion your friend was given.

Watching your friends have children yet you have none.

Going to wedding after wedding, while waiting for "the one"

Not getting the house you prayed for

Seeing your family live a lifestyle you have dreamed of and yet you struggle

Disappointment with a front row seat!

Like Hillary, you may clap outwardly but on the inside your heart is broken. You are confused and have no clue how to find joy when sadness is smack dab in your face!

So what will you do?

The natural inclination is to respond in jealousy, anger, and false humility. But as a believer, this simply cannot do! We must rise above and keep it moving.

The reality is God never really says "No". Instead, He says "Yes" to something even bigger.

Unfortunately, we can't predict the future. This can be the scary part. We have a hard time understanding the concept of waiting and closed doors.

But I can assure you for every closed door, God is opening a larger gate for you! But it's up to YOU to walk through it!

Will you mope and complain about your NOW or ask God to reveal the next step to your destiny? Surely, one must commend Mrs. Clinton for handling herself with dignity and grace in the midst of a low moment in her life.

I once heard a great leader say, "We must focus on the what's and how's instead of the why's and when's".

Instead of wondering WHY God closed this door, ask Him WHAT can you learn. Instead of asking WHEN will things change, ask HOW you can make a change!

To those who are experiencing disappointment from the front row, keep seeking the Lord! He can turn your brokenness into beauty for the world to see. Your victory may not look like what you expect! In fact, it may take a little while longer than expected. Truthfully, none of us knows what January 2021 holds for Mrs. Clinton!

Congratulate those are experiencing their moment and get ready because yours is on the way! That burning desire that you have in you may be just around the corner. Just keep believing!

Congratulations to President Trump for becoming the 45th President of the United States of America.

And to those who may be disappointed in this hour...I leave you with this powerful verse.

Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
