Comb through the tangles...it's worth it

My daughter has super thick ultra curly hair. She does not wake up looking fabulous, but I have to work to get it together. Although my daughter loves looking "fancy" (The end result), she hates the PROCESS. So today as I was combing through the tangles, it hit me! Wow...this is how is it is with us. Wouldn't it be easier for my daughter to just wake up with perfect hair, or for us to wake up in the perfect marriage or with the perfect job? Although it is easier, we must in most situations go through the process.

The truth is..if you want a great hairstyle you must be willing to comb through the tangles.

When we go through the process moments in our Christian life, do we cry and complain (much like my daughter old who does not like getting her hair combed) or do we stay strong knowing that the end result will be worth it all.

Remember the Lord says "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11) So although the process may be trying, remember God does not have intentions to hurt you or harm you but to prosper you.

In fact, God knows that the process will work FOR you and NOT against you.

James 1:2-4 says "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything".

It's time to change your perspective.

Your failing marriage now could be what catapults you into your future marriage ministry.

Your bankruptcy now could be what inspires you to learn how to set others free from financial bondage.

Your sickness now could be what opens the door for you to tell the world about the God who heals.

Your current struggle WILL catapult you into your next big victory!

Embrace the tangles of life!

Ask God to show you how He can use you in these moments. Ask God to give you a fresh perspective on how to change your defeat into your success.

Romans 8:28-And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
